AutoScout24 integrates C2B business model – CARAUKTION refocuses on B2B core business

Following a successful pilot year, AutoScout24 will assume responsibility for the C2B business unit developed jointly with CARAUKTION, including the C2B auction platform, as of September 1, 2025. With this step, the “AutoScout24 Direct” offering will be fully integrated into AutoScout24, while CARAUKTION will concentrate its activities more strongly on its B2B core business.
As the first nationwide service of its kind, AutoScout24 Direct enables private individuals to sell their vehicle to verified dealers within 24 hours via an online auction (C2B) – fully digital, efficient, and transparent. Within a very short time, the new online service established itself as a sought-after source of vehicles from the private market – from affordable compact cars to premium models. In its first year alone, following the launch in August 2024, more than 2,000 vehicles were successfully sold.
How AutoScout24 Direct works
The sales process through AutoScout24 Direct is fully digitalized. Vehicle owners enter their car details themselves, upload photos, answer relevant questions about the condition, and provide the required vehicle documents. The AutoScout24 team then reviews the information for quality and prepares the auction for publication. Dealers have 24 hours to place their bids. Since several offers are typically submitted by different dealers, private sellers benefit from particularly attractive prices – without the need for in-person appointments or time-consuming test drives. The process is not only fast and convenient but also fair and transparent. Ultimately, the decision rests with the seller: they decide whether to accept the highest bid and proceed with the sale. If the sale is successful, the vehicle is collected within a week at the preferred location. To further increase the attractiveness for dealers, a new storage function has recently been introduced. It allows users to save customized search requests and receive automatic notifications as soon as matching vehicles become available on the platform. This makes it easier and faster to identify relevant offers and simplifies daily usage.
Strategic partnership as a success model
